The Modern-Day Robin Hood Syndrome

First I ask you, is it acceptable for people to steal from others? I then ask, haven’t we created rules (Law) that deter such acts and have penalties for those who break the rules?  Therefore how is it acceptable that our Governing Body have the ability to pass Legislation that mirrors that same act? I'll tell you how, WE ALLOW IT.... Just because they masquerade it in the form of Taxes doesn’t make it Right.  We thought we took care of that during the Boston Tea Party, remember Taxation without Representation, deceiving isn’t it now that we have Representation, or do we?

Side note; If our elected officials don’t represent our values and wishes despite the over-whelming majority (since our governing is based on a democracy) wouldn’t that make them Dictators? Furthermore, since each state acts as it’s own Governing body to some extent, the larger States holding the larger number of Representatives would then have the ability to control Legislation for the entire Country.

For decades our elected and appointed officials have taken us down the wrong path, they have chosen to take from the very people who provide for themselves and who create opportunity for others that are willing to apply themselves, then redistribute to others creating a false sense of worth.

Our Government continues to spend recklessly living their lavish lifestyles then when  funds are depleted they legislate more theft from society in the form of additional taxes and/or increases.

The path to take is one that paves the way for prosperity, creativity and opportunity that helps people take part to achieve self worthiness inspiring their inhibition to become self reliant, creative and resourceful individuals which in turn gives back to society in many forms.

 Instead of funneling large sums of money through entitlement programs that not only consume resources but create the need for more Government jobs to facilitate the efforts that only create more wasteful spending than necessary. We should funnel the funds back to the productive business class in the form of incentives, creating an alliance with the businesses and start getting people into the work force instead of on Welfare, unemployment and other entitlement programs that take away from progress.
