Citizens, it's our Congress (Elected Officials) who create Legislation, (not the President) then to impose such standards, regulations, laws and Restrictions, onto us (We The People) regardless if  it agrees with our values and morals.

 

The President is Commander in Chief which means he's in charge of Our Nations Security & National Defense. The President also plays a role in checks & balances in our system of Democracy. Another crucial element is his appointments into his admistration (Cabinet) and those placed in our Justice System rather than those that are elected.

 

{Majority Rules}

Democracy is a wonderful, powerful and great process if we stay engaged and see things through. Don't think for a moment just because we elect these individuals into office, all is well.  We must remember to support there ideals and values if we agree, voice our concerns if we don't. We will not all agree on everything however, they must hear our voices for which they represent and that my friends is what Democracy is all about..... We have seen in previous years if we turn our backs and let them reign, we'll be surprised with the results.
